Andrea Elson
Andrea Hope Elson (born in 1961) is a former American actor. Elson began her career on TV as a child model and actress. Her most famous role was Alice Tyler, portrayed by Elson on CBS' science fiction series. Andrea got the part of Lynn Tanner, in ALF (1986), after auditioning. Andrea continued working throughout her career on popular TV shows as well as Movies of the Week before going into the entertainment field in order to spend time with her children. ALF came during a particularly difficult moment for Andrea Elson, who played Lynn Tanner, the teenage daughter of Kate and Willie. People magazine published a retrospective of her career in 2000. Elson commented that growing up as a girl in the spotlight was not an easy task. Elson, who was green eyed New York City native grew as a traveler because of the job in advertising that her father held. Before she was ten years old, she was living throughout New York Chicago San Diego as well as Los Angeles. While in San Diego Andrea got an agent, and was able to get the role she tried to audition for. Fusco claimed that ALF is 285 and therefore drink beer. When ALF started to become becoming more famous, NBC said that Fusco would not be able to continue having ALF drinking alcohol in front of the kids. This was not a good image of a role model. Fusco maintained that he believed ALF was an adult and was able to handle drinking. The first time he was diagnosed with lymphoma was in the year 1995. He underwent successful treatment and was in complete remission through 2019. The illness ended his life on the 26th of June, 2019, at 75. His funeral was held at the Lillian Booth Actors Home, Englewood NJ.
