Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor, director producer and vocalist. She's a beautiful, intelligent actress who inspires numerous Asian actors to make it in Hollywood. A series of successful early performances in popular TV series led to her becoming famous for joining the cast in Ally McBeal, where she appeared as Ling Woo. In the wake of her fame, she got major roles for her in Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). Then she gave a stunning performance in the role of Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii In the Quentin Tarantino film Kill Bill Volume 1. In addition, she played lead parts in box office flops like Rise: Blood Hunter. After that, she started to sing prominent characters for animated films like Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason from Cashmere Mafia was a small role that failed to have any impact. Southland - a critically acclaimed crime drama - helped establish Liu as an actress of the future. Liu is very careful in picking her roles to ensure that she does not become typecast within a highly competitive industry.
